I can guess what you’re thinking when you see the subtitle for the book Dream It Pin It Live It. What’s got into me when I’m talking about having a vision board on this blog?
Whether you swear by it or you think that a vision board is just another trendy woo-woo thing, there’s no doubt that a vision board makes it easy for us to articulate our dreams and goals.
Rather than seeing our dreams and goals in the form of writing, we see them in visuals instead.
Of course, having a vision board is only a tiny fraction of what you need to do to make your dreams and goals a reality.
They’re not going to manifest themselves just because you have a vision board.
This is where most people get it wrong. They think that things will magically happen to them when they have a vision board but later on, they complain that it doesn’t work for them.
So, I get why you would feel skeptical about it.
The good news is you can make the vision board works for you if you do it right.
And that’s the premise behind the book Dream It Pin It Live It: Make Vision Boards Work For You.
What Dream It Pin It Live It: Make Vision Boards Work For You is all about
Here’s the book description that I got from Amazon.
When the vision is clear, the results will appear. Clarity about your dreams is the single most important step to success! In this book, Terri Savelle Foy shares her journey of using vision boards to accomplish great things and shows how you can too. Discover how vision boards work, what to do after you’ve made them, and the hidden key to living your dreams. Find out how you can open your imagination and have that childlike faith to believe that anything is possible, and turn your dreams into reality.
What got me to read the book
Like most people, I’ve heard a lot about the power of a vision board for the longest time. I even took Elise McDowell’s vision board course so then I could learn how to create the vision board properly.
While the course does cover all the things I need to know about creating a vision board, I still feel like I’m missing something but I’m not sure what it is.
Well, my hunch was right after reading Dream It Pin It Live It.
I was missing something. And they’re the critical ones too.
What makes Dream It Pin It Live It worth reading
Judging from the title, you may think that the book only talks about the creation part of the vision board.
Well, you’re not wrong about that since the book makes it clear that it’s all about the vision board, nothing else.
But here’s the thing about the book – it goes way deeper than just creating a vision board and calling it a day.
Let’s be real here. It’s not that hard to create a vision board since all you need to do is to identify what your dreams and goals are, find the pictures and stick them to your vision board.
That’s all you need to do as far as creating a vision board is concerned.
But whether you’re able to achieve anything that you put on your vision board will depend on what you do before and after that.
Yes, it’s the prep work that you do before and after you put together the vision board that will make a big difference.
And here’s the good news for you.
The book does outline every single thing you need to do, from how you can be clear about what you want in life to what you should do after you’re done with creating a vision board.
This book has everything figured out for you.
As long as you do all the things outlined in the book, you will eventually achieve all the things you always dream of.
What you should know about the book
Just like any other nonfiction book, there’s no doubt that you need to do the book for the best result.
When I say do the book, I mean do all the exercises outlined in this book.
Yes, I know. You just want to read a book and put it on the shelf when you’re done.
But remember that you can only gain clarity when you write it down on paper, not so much when you leave it in your head.
Another thing that I need to point out is that the book contains many scriptures from the Bible.
I will say that don’t worry so much about seeing the scriptures from the Bible in the book.
The concept in this book applies to everyone whether you’re a Christian or not.
Who should read the book
If you have the impression that a vision board is a woo-woo thing but are still interested in giving it a go, then this book is perfect for you.
Keep in mind that the book does have some scriptures from the Bible. Stay away from this book if you’re allergic to anything with the word Bible in it.
